«Transport week – 2011» is taking place November 21-26 in the grounds of the EcoCentre «Sokolniki» in Moscow, and is organized by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. Operator of the event is «Business Dialogue» Ltd, and information operator is official publishing body of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation - newspaper «Transport of Russia» (Publishing house «Dorogi»).
The following events will take place during the «Transport week» between 23 and 25th November: V Anniversary International Forum that will cover new approaches to holding the events, and the exhibition «Transport of Russia» aimed at presenting the annual results of work carried out by the tranposrt industry to the Government of the Russian Federation, in order to identify perspective directions for further development.
The exposition will be divided into industrial sectors: railway transport, marine and river transport, air transport and civil aviation, automobile transport and roads.
Key feature of the forum is attention paid by the participants to the environmental issues. Leading experts and specialists will be looking at the problems of energy and resources savings, and decreased ecological impact on the envirnment. Moreover there will be a number of business meetings, round tables, and conferences in order to accommodate discussions of relevant topics on the development of the transport infrastructure as an important part of the country’s economics.
Anniversary exhibition will also feature some new developments. For the first time it will present infrastructure projects of the regions, along with the transport safety technologies, and eco-transport.
Between 21 and 26 November, «Transport week - 2011» will host II International Congress ROAD TRAFFIC RUSSIA – 2011 «Organisation of road traffic in the Russian Federation», International road congress «Innovations in road infrastructure», coordination counsel on transport education, master-class «Organisation of voluntary centres for participation in mass events, with «Sochi 2014» as an example», finalists of the contest of student science societies presenting their projects, awards and demonstration of works by the winners of the contest «Young scientists of the transport industry», all-Russia festival of arts «TranspART-2011» for students of transport universities, III Russian sports festival students of transport universities, Open Cup of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation for game sports.
The events of «Transport week-2011»will be attended by more than 1000 delegates among which are representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, federal department and agencies, legislative and executive authorities at federal and regional levels; largest Russian and foreign transport, logistics and insurance companies; banks; industry associations and also leading business and industry mass media.
