Aeroflot to celebrate Chinese New Year on board

 Aeroflot will celebrate Chinese New Year on board. On February 17, passengers on the airline’s own flights departing from Moscow will be offered a special festive menu featuring Chinese cuisine.

In Business Class, passengers on flights with a duration of more than 7 hours will be served duck with Mandarin-style pancakes, vegetables, and hoisin sauce. On flights of up to 7 hours, travelers will be offered an appetizer of fried eggplant and beef with cilantro and chili pepper. On flights longer than 2 hours in Business and Comfort Classes, a hot meat dish for lunch will include beef with egg noodles and cashews.

In the lunch menu of Comfort and Economy Classes, a chicken salad with glass noodles and Chinese cabbage will be served as an appetizer. In Economy Class on flights longer than 3 hours, lunch will feature chicken in sweet and sour sauce with vegetables and rice. On flights lasting from 1 to 3 hours in Economy Class, passengers will be offered spicy sandwiches with chicken, sweet chili sauce, and smashed cucumbers.

In addition, on February 17, passengers on all flights departing from Moscow will be treated to traditional Chinese fortune cookies.

From 13 to 28 February, on Aeroflot flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Sanya, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong to Moscow, New Year greetings from the flight crew will be broadcast over the loudspeaker. Passengers of all classes will receive limited-edition postcard invitations to the “Chinese New Year in Moscow” festival. Guests who attend the event will be able to receive a special gift from Mosturizm (Moscow Tourism Committee) and Aeroflot upon presenting the postcard.
