Aeroflot announces the most popular and fast-growing destinations for 2025

Aeroflot announced the most popular and fastest-growing destinations based on the number of passengers carried in 2025. The statistics include the airline’s own flights as well as flights operated by Rossiya Airlines under the SU code.*

Most popular destinations. The top 10 destinations with the highest passenger traffic across Russia in 2025 were traditionally led by flights between Moscow and Saint Petersburg/Sochi/Kaliningrad. More than 1 million people traveled between Moscow and Vladivostok in 2025. The top 10 by number of passengers also included flights from Moscow to Yekaterinburg, Mineralnye Vody, Khabarovsk, Kazan, Ufa, and Samara.

Among Aeroflot’s international destinations,  Turkey — namely Istanbul and Antalya — was the most popular. The Moscow — Yerevan route ranked third. In 2025, passengers also frequently traveled from Moscow to Thailand (Phuket and Bangkok), the Republic of Belarus (Minsk), the UAE (Dubai), and Egyptian resorts (Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh). Flights between Moscow and Baku complete the top 10.

Fastest-growing destinations. Leaders in domestic passenger traffic growth are routes from the Aeroflot Group’s Siberian hub. This trend has continued for the second year in a row. The top 10 across Russia included flights from Krasnoyarsk to Kazan (+55% compared to 2024), Magadan (+35%), and Chelyabinsk (+30%). Passenger traffic between Moscow and Saransk increased by 47%, making it the second-fastest-growing route. Flights between Vladivostok and Khabarovsk (+25%) were also among the five fastest-growing destinations.

Among international routes, flights between Moscow and Ganja, Azerbaijan, led growth by a wide margin (+68% compared to 2024). In addition, in 2025 Aeroflot Group passengers increasingly traveled abroad bypassing Moscow:

  • from Mineralnye Vody to Antalya (+44%);      
  • from Saint Petersburg to Dubai (+37%), Hurghada (+34%), Phuket (+21%).
