Federal budget allocates $47 million for Arkhangelsk Airport upgrade

The Arkhangelsk Region received 3.8 billion rubles ($47 million) to continue upgrading the Arkhangelsk Airport, Governor Alexander Tsybulsky said in an address to the regional legislators.

"The Russian government has supported further upgrade of the Arkhangelsk Airport, which we have been consistently implementing since 2023. We have received additionally 3.8 billion rubles to build a new rescue station, a modern mainline and taxiways, as well as to have additional equipment for existing sewage treatment plants," the governor said.

In recent years, a new runway of 2.5 km and new terminals have been built at the Arkhangelsk Airport, and the airport has upgraded auxiliary infrastructures.
