On April 2, on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, a new regular route Brest - St. Petersburg (Pulkovo) - Brest was opened. Direct air service was established between the cities for the first time. The carrier on the route was Belavia.

Flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays on Embraer-175 aircraft. Departure from Pulkovo is at 18:55, arrival in Brest is at 20:40. Travel time is 1 hour 45 minutes.

On the platform, the crew and passengers of the first flight from Brest were greeted with a water arch. A ceremonial ceremony was also held in the terminal with the participation of the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in St. Petersburg, representatives of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, the airline and the airport management company "Northern Capital Gateway".

The route became the carrier's third destination from St. Petersburg, along with Minsk and Gomel. Belavia is among the top 5 foreign airlines at Pulkovo in terms of passenger traffic.
