The Yury Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CTC) has provided training courses for cosmonauts from more than 30 countries, according to Roscosmos.

"Throughout its history, the CTC has trained cosmonauts from over 30 nations," the news release states. The state corporation also referenced an archival video of foreign cosmonauts jogging in the summer of 1987, a daily ritual that kicked off training for participants in the Intercosmos program, which facilitated flights to the Mir orbital station.

In January 2025, Maxim Kharlamov, the head of the CTC, informed TASS in an interview that over its 65-year history, approximately 400 cosmonauts have been trained at the center, including around 150 foreign nationals.
