A small plane crash-landed near the Myachkovo airfield near Moscow while performing a training flight, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.

 The crash site has been located, rescue services have been dispatched to the scene. The plane fell in a field, causing no damage on the ground.

Its fragments were promptly extinguished by rescuers. A total of 26 people and eight pieces of special equipment are working on the crash site.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed the death of the two people on board.

Moscow transport investigators have launched a pretrial inquiry into the incident.
