Pulkovo Airport spoke about the operation of airfield pavements at AERO 2025

As part of the II All-Russian Conference "AERO 2025: Construction and Operation of Airfield Infrastructure", the head of the airfield service of the Pulkovo airport operator, Filipp Saburov, shared his experience in the operational maintenance of airfield pavements in the St. Petersburg air harbor.

He spoke about seasonal maintenance of the airfield, materials for repairing surfaces and updating the fleet of equipment. Thus, in 2024, Northern Capital Gateway purchased a rotary snowplow, a plow-brush blower and other Russian-made equipment. Plans for 2025 include new road equipment for repairing airfield surfaces, snow removal equipment, vacuum cleaners for collecting residual anti-icing fluid after aircraft treatment, tractors, including those made in China.

The expert noted that Pulkovo Airport is open to cooperation for joint search for solutions for repair and import substitution of materials. He added that previously some of the work was carried out with the help of contractors, now the airport is focusing on developing internal expertise in operational maintenance and repair of airfield pavements and equipment.
