Aeroflot Group expects to transport at least 55 million people in 2025 and achieve a net profit comparable to the level of 2024, said Sergey Alexandrovsky, the company's CEO. This is reported by Interfax.

"The minimum task is probably to achieve the level that we reached in 2024. The volume of passengers transported is at least 55 million. In terms of financial results, we need to ensure a comparable result and a comparable net profit," he said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

Earlier on February 3, Aeroflot reported on RAS for 2024: for the first time since 2019, the company made a net profit of 22 billion rubles (against a net loss of 29.5 billion rubles in 2023). At the same time, the indicator, including the exchange rate effect and insurance settlement, turned out to be negative - in the amount of more than 42 billion rubles (a year ago, the corresponding loss was at the level of 19.2 billion rubles)

Aeroflot's IFRS financial statements are expected in late February or early March, and "there are prerequisites for a decent financial result," Alexandrovsky also said.

In 2024, Aeroflot's passenger traffic increased by 19.3% to 30.1 million passengers. The traffic of the entire group of the same name increased by 16.8%, to 55.3 million people: 42.6 million (+12.8%) were transported on domestic lines, 12.7 million (+32.7%) on international lines. The group's total passenger turnover increased by 20.8%, seat occupancy was 89.6%, an increase of 2.1 percentage points.
