From March 1, the frequency of flights on the route St. Petersburg - Shanghai (China) will increase from 3 to 5 flights per week. Flights will be operated by China Eastern Airlines.
From March 31, a new airline, Shanghai Airlines, will open flights to Shanghai, planning 3 flights a week: on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with departure from St. Petersburg at 19:50. During the spring-summer navigation, China Eastern Airlines will operate 7 flights a week. Thus, the number of flights to Shanghai from Pulkovo Airport will increase to 10 per week.
By the end of 2024, Shanghai is China's most popular destination in terms of traffic volume. Flights to Chengdu, Beijing, and Sanya are also planned from St. Petersburg as part of the summer schedule.
