Aeroflot Technics (part of the Aeroflot Group) plans to develop new competencies in the maintenance and repair of engines for aircraft such as the Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and -777. This is reported by Interfax with reference to data from the company's RAS report for the past year.

In March 2025, the company intends to obtain permission "to implement bulletin 72-0226 on the hot part of GE-90 engines." Wide-body Boeing 777s are equipped with these engines manufactured by American General Electric. There are 32 such aircraft in the fleet of Aeroflot and its subsidiary Rossiya Airlines (according to the Federal Air Transport Agency in mid-February, 28 of them were listed in the operator's certificates of the companies).

By April 2025, Aeroflot Technics expects to complete a project to "expand the scope of the engine repair shop to service the VSV systems of the -7B and -5B engines, as well as to obtain a permit to perform maintenance on CFM56-5B aircraft engines." CFM56-5B engines manufactured by CFM International (a joint venture of the French Snecma and GE) are equipped with A320 family aircraft, CFM56-7B - Boeing 737 NG. Airliners of this type form the basis of the narrow-body fleet of Russian airlines.

Other plans of the provider include the opening of a production site for the external and internal markings of aircraft; mastering the repair of landing gear racks, manufacturing and repairing fuselage thermal insulation, and performing composite repairs to aircraft structures and components.

According to the report, the revenue of Aeroflot Technics in 2024 increased 1.6 times compared to the result of 2023, to 10.9 billion rubles. The figure was a record for the company, which was registered at the end of 2015. Compared to 2022, revenue jumped 2.6 times, compared to 2021 - 2.8 times.
