Aeroflot Technics celebrates its 10th anniversary. The company, part of Aeroflot Group, is the largest aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider in Russia, the CIS, and Eastern Europe. Over its first decade, Aeroflot Technics has become strategic partner of Aeroflot Group’s technical infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency across the fleet.
Aeroflot Technics carries out both operational and scheduled maintenance on Airbus A350, Airbus A330, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A320ceo, Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Boeing 747, and Superjet 100 aircraft. It is the only organization in Russia with the unique capability to perform scheduled base maintenance on the Airbus A350, Boeing 777, and Boeing 747.
Aeroflot Technics provides simultaneous technical support for more than 300 aircraft operated by Aeroflot Group. In addition, it provides services to other Russian and international carriers.
The provider delivers the full spectrum of maintenance services for all aircraft types operated by Aeroflot Group — from routine light checks to heavy 12-year C-checks.
Over its 10 years of operations, Aeroflot Technics has performed more than 4,200 scheduled maintenance checks, including A-checks and C-checks. In its first year, the company completed just 10 A- and C-checks; since 2023, the annual number has consistently exceeded 1,000. This is in addition to daily operational maintenance performed before every flight, as well as major tasks such as engine and landing gear replacement.
Currently, the provider holds a FAP-109 (FAP-145) certificate authorizing maintenance of both foreign- and Russian-built aircraft, along with a FAP-21 (Section J) certificate for developing structural repair schemes and documentation for the repair of aircraft structures and components. In 2025, a separate company — AeroTrustTechnics — was established to handle engine repair and received its own FAP-145 approval.
Today, Aeroflot Technics employs more than 3,300 people, including over 2,100 engineering and technical specialists with broad experience and unique competencies in maintaining and repairing both domestic and international aircraft types. Among its technicians and engineers are more than 40 women.
