Aeroflot successfully tested biometric boarding service

Aeroflot, in partnership with Pulkovo Airport and the Biometric Technology Center, successfully tested the “Migom” service in December. The service enables passengers to pass pre-flight checks using biometric identification without presenting a passport.

With the participation of its subsidiary IT company, AFLT-Systems, Aeroflot implemented a set of technical upgrades on the airline’s website within a short timeframe and completed integration with the Unified System of Identification and Authentication (ESIA) and the Unified Biometric System. Cryptographic security of the service is ensured by CryptoPro software solutions.

The next step is preparation for the commercial launch of the service, including the development of regulatory procedures by government authorities. It is expected that the first passengers will be able to use the “Migom” service in the second half of 2026.

The “Migom” biometric boarding service is implemented on the basis of the government-operated Unified Biometric System. Passengers will always have the option to choose how to board the aircraft — using a passport or biometric identification.
