Passenger traffic of Russian airlines up 5.85% in 2024 to 111.6 mln people

Passenger traffic of Russian airlines grew by 5.85% in 2024 compared with 2023 to 111.6 mln passengers, the Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) said in a statement.

In the domestic segment, 84.6 mln people were carried in the reporting period, which is almost 2% higher than in 2023, while in the international segment, 26.9 mln people were carried, up by 33.5%.

In December, passenger traffic of Russian airlines edged up by 3% to 8 mln people, with 5.98 mln people (+0.7%) and 2.03 mln people (+10.6%) carried on the domestic and international segments, respectively.
