The MC-21-300 performed aerobatics for combat aircraft. This is reported by AVIA.RU with reference to Rostec data.
As noted in the message in the telegram channel of the state corporation, the domestic passenger liner MC-21-300, created by PJSC Yakovlev, which is part of the UAC, performs the aerobatic figure of the ranversman. It is a turn on a slide – the car gains altitude with a constant angle of inclination and changes the direction of flight without loss of altitude. The maneuver is used by combat aircraft in an attack or counterattack.
"The Russian airliner MC-21-300 performed a ranversman aerobatics figure in preparation for demonstration flights for the anniversary of the Irkutsk Aircraft Factory. At the same time, the aircraft makes a steep slide, loses speed, then slides onto the wing with a steep turn in the opposite direction. This figure is used in combat aviation. The pitch angle at the highest point of the slide was 90 degrees. Such capabilities of the MC-21 are provided by the reliability of the design, perfect aerodynamics and the most modern control system. Of course, to increase the thrust-to–weight ratio, the aircraft did not have any cargo on board and was not fully fueled," Rostec said.
