Aeroflot Technics, an aircraft maintenance and repair provider (part of the Aeroflot Group), has opened a linear maintenance station (LMS) at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport.
The first aircraft maintenanced by the linear station specialists in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, was an Aeroflot flight from Moscow, operated on a Boeing 777.
The new LMS will provide technical support for Aeroflot Group flights. In accordance with the certificate received, the engineering and technical staff of the linear station will carry out operational maintenance of Airbus A350, Boeing 777, Airbus A320 Family and Boeing 737-800 airliners.
The new station is equipped with a modern material and technical base and is staffed by highly qualified specialists from among the local residents. All of them have received additional training on aircraft types. The personnel of the linear maintenance station is certified in categories B1 and B2, and also has the necessary permits for various types of routine maintenance.
The new LMS opening continues the process of systematically expanding the geography of Aeroflot Technics' presence in the Far Eastern Federal District. The provider's linear stations operate at the airports of Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The linear station at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport became the fourth LMS of Aeroflot Technics at airports in the Far East.
The total number of provider's linear maintenance stations in the country has reached 16. Aeroflot Technics currently has the largest network in Russia among aircraft maintenance and repair enterprises.
