The delivery dates for MC-21 and Superjet 100 aircraft have been postponed to 2025-2026

The delivery dates for new Russian civil aircraft are being shifted: deliveries of the MC-21 have been postponed to 2025, regional Superjet 100 deliveries to 2026. Deliveries of IL-114-300 are now expected in 2026. This writes RBC with reference to the data of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).

"Cooperation companies face objective constraints - completely new systems, recreating competencies from scratch, the need for full-fledged testing and launch of serial production under time constraints," UAC explained the shift in timing. The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade also pointed out the "objective technical difficulties" of implementing projects of such a scale.

"Import substitution programs in civil aviation are being implemented in unprecedented terms by world standards. There are no similar Russian examples of comprehensive import substitution of all systems and units, including avionics, engines, aviation materials, in modern world aviation. All global aircraft manufacturers rely on a wide international cooperation, suppliers from several dozen countries. Russia will have to cope on its own," the ministry points out. The Ministry of Industry and Trade did not tell us what kind of difficulties have arisen with the projects.
