A new training aircraft for civil aviation pilots will be created on the basis of the military Yak-152, RIA Novosti was informed by the press service of Yakovlev PJSC (part of UAC), the developer of this machine.
Earlier, Yakovlev told RIA Novosti about the completion of joint state tests of the Yak-152 training aircraft for the initial training of Russian Air Force pilots.
"The experience gained in the development of the Yak-152 will be used in the formation of the technical appearance of a new training aircraft for schools and training centers of civil aviation. The technical appearance will be developed jointly with Rosaviatsia and potential operators," the statement said.
Yakovlev noted that the main priority will be to provide Yak-152 aircraft to Russian military educational institutions, but in the future they did not rule out the possibility of exporting this aircraft.
