For the first time in its history, Aeroflot has transported 1 million passengers on flights between Moscow and Vladivostok. The milestone passenger boarded flight SU1703 today from Vladivostok.

During a special ceremony, the millionth traveler was awarded a free flight for two within Russia and received a model aircraft from Aeroflot. Vladivostok International Airport also presented the passenger with business lounge invitations and souvenirs.

Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Primorsky Krai:

«We are always happy to welcome visitors! Vladivostok is among the top 10 destinations chosen by Aeroflot passengers for New Year holidays, and for good reason. Our region is beautiful year-round. In winter, we enjoy long daylight hours and plenty of sunshine. There’s breathtaking nature, unique architecture, delicious food, and a vibrant cultural and sports scene. Developing Primorye as a top tourist destination is a key priority for the regional government. We are introducing new support measures, building infrastructure, and creating investment opportunities. With support from President Vladimir Putin, I’m confident that Primorye will continue to attract both Russian and international visitors.»

Sergey Alexandrovsky, CEO at PJSC Aeroflot:

«Expanding our network in the Russian Far East is one of Aeroflot Group’s main goals. Vladivostok has always been a key destination in our Far East program. Back in 2009, just over 260,000 passengers traveled between Moscow and Vladivostok. Today, we’ve reached 1 million passengers on this route for the first time in our history. We’ve worked hard to achieve this milestone and will continue improving connectivity in the region. I want to thank all our passengers for choosing Aeroflot. As the New Year approaches, I wish everyone safe and comfortable flights, unforgettable trips, and joyful reunions!»

Denis Chmutov, CEO of Vladivostok International Airport:

«Reaching 1 million passengers is a major milestone and reflects the successful collaboration between Aeroflot and the airport in 2024. We congratulate Aeroflot on this achievement and will continue to work together to offer passengers even more convenient and comfortable travel options.»

Vladivostok is one of Aeroflot Group’s busiest destinations. During the summer schedule, Aeroflot operated up to seven daily flights from Moscow to Vladivostok. In 2023, Aeroflot Group’s total passenger traffic through Vladivostok exceeded 1 million for the first time in modern history.

On December 17, Aeroflot launched additional flights between Sheremetyevo and Vladivostok with a stop in Krasnoyarsk. Starting December 22, iFly Airlines, under Russia’s first-ever wet lease agreement, will operate flights on the Moscow–Vladivostok route under Aeroflot’s SU code.

In addition to Moscow, Aeroflot Group currently offers direct flights from Vladivostok to Krasnoyarsk, Shanghai, Harbin, Sanya, Phuket, and Bangkok.
