Aeroflot to operate flights by «wet» leasing program with air carrier iFly

Aeroflot has introduced flights as part of a «wet» leasing agreement with the airline iFly.  The first flight, SU5832 from Moscow to Khabarovsk, is scheduled to depart from Sheremetyevo Airport today, December 15, at 18:30 PM (Moscow time).

According to the contract, iFly has leased three wide-body Airbus A330-300 aircraft to Aeroflot, along with flight and cabin crews. These planes will be used for flights from Moscow to settlements in Russia’s Far East, with routes gradually added to the schedule during the initial phase.

The iFly airbus A330-300 is configured with 28 Comfort Class seats and 350 Economy Class seats, significantly increasing capacity in high-demand service classes during the busy New Year holiday season.

Economy Class tickets will be available at fixed, affordable «flat» rates.

The seat pitch on iFly’s aircraft is comparable to that on Aeroflot’s own A330 fleet. The service offerings on flights operated by iFly have been aligned with Aeroflot Group standards. Comfort Class passengers will receive a travel kit and a blanket, while both service classes will include amenities for children. In-flight dining will feature two meal services, including cold beverages. Comfort Class passengers will also be offered red and white wine. Additionally, travelers in both service classes can enjoy a complimentary wireless entertainment system accessible via personal devices.

Aeroflot is the first Russian air carrier to implement a «wet» leasing program, achieving this milestone in a short period following recent regulatory changes enabling the use of this tool in the domestic air travel market.

The service standards for this new initiative will continue to be refined as the program is further integrated into the Aeroflot Group’s schedule.
