Russian airlines carried 9.5 mln people in October of this year, which is 6.5% more than in October 2023, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) says.

"According to Rosaviatsiya, the passenger traffic of Russian air carriers increased by 6.5% against the like month of 2023 to 9.5 mln people. The seat occupancy rate increased by 0.8 percentage point from 89.5% to 90.3%," the agency said.

Aeroflot, Pobeda, Rossiya, S7 and Ural Airlines are among the top five air carriers. They transported 6.7 mln people in total, with the growth standing at 7.5% against last October.
