An important role in the development of international transportation is played by the program to increase inbound tourism from the Persian Gulf countries and China. Within the framework of the project, visits of tour operators, journalists and bloggers from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, India, Turkey, the UAE and other countries to St. Petersburg were organized. Also, the growth of international passenger traffic was facilitated by the opening of air service between St. Petersburg and Abu Dhabi (UAE), the route is 1 year old.
The airport has launched a number of new projects to improve the quality of passenger service.
