Aeroflot presented best practices in implementing a tax monitoring system, during the business meeting with a delegation of the General Tax Service of Qatar and representatives of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation. The meeting was held at the airline's central office on the initiative of the Federal Tax Service of Russia as part of the official visit of the Qatari delegation.

The guests got acquainted with the tax monitoring regime as a way of enhanced information interaction, in which the company provides the tax authority with real-time access to accounting and tax accounting data, including the integration of the systems of the Russian tax authority with the company's electronic document management systems. Using the example of the tax monitoring showcase of PJSC Aeroflot, one of the largest Russian taxpayers, which was the first to introduce this digital solution on the market, the Qatari delegation demonstrated how the tax authority sees the payer's accounting and tax reporting, as well as how tax risk management services work.

Irina Nikolaeva, Chief Accountant of PJSC Aeroflot, spoke about the unique experience of creating an end-to-end information network of business processes that permeates the enterprise, starting with the electronic exchange of documents through the IT systems of special operators and ending with the provision of financial documentation to the Federal Tax Service. Special attention was focused on the development of a new way of interaction between the Federal Tax Service of Russia and PJSC Aeroflot in terms of integration with AIS Tax-3, which made the exchange of information with the Federal Tax Service of Russia as operational and transparent as possible. In addition, this allowed the airline to optimize labor costs and reduce the costs and time for document management with the tax service several times.

«The interest in the use of modern IT technologies in tax processes and its discussion during the meeting, not only at the departmental, but already at the international level, shows a global trend aimed at eliminating paper turnover and saving resources», — Irina Nikolaeva noted.

The Qatari side expressed gratitude to all participants of the meeting for their comprehensive familiarization with the best practices of digitalization, which allows taxpayers to promptly coordinate their position on taxation of their operations with the tax authority and contributes to the effective conduct of business in the country.

Aeroflot has been a participant in tax monitoring since 2018. Since 2023, the company has been using IT solutions from the domestic developer GNIVTS JSC for these purposes.
