Domestic tablet in the Rossiya Airlines Superjet cockpit

Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot Group) has successfully tested the new MVK-T2101 tablet computer, developed for the carrier by the domestic company Byterg, in the cockpit of the Superjet 100. The project is being implemented within the framework of the import substitution program and the “paperless cabin” concept.

The introduction of new domestic products is a priority area of development for Rossiya. The Russian-designed tablet will be an important step towards expanding the line of EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) devices and mastering new software.

At the first stage, it is planned that the MVK-T2101 tablet will be operated on Superjet 100 aircraft in the carrier’s fleet.

The MVK-T2101 from Byterg, a Russian developer and manufacturer of radio electronic products, is designed to replace the imported device that Rossiya has been using as an EFB since 2014. At that time, the airline was the first carrier in the country to abandon pilot’s flight bags and introduce a portable EFB from takeoff to landing. The innovation has simplified and improved the work of Rossiya’s crews. It has also enabled the airline to reduce the amount of fuel consumed by minimizing the weight of heavy paper flight documentation.
