Irkut Corporation (part of the Rostec State Corporation UAC) has opened a laboratory for the maintenance and repair of electronic and electrified components of civil aircraft systems of its own production. The new site is located on the territory of the Technopark of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI, part of the Research Center "Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky"). This is reported by AVIA.RU .
The new laboratory is the first production site for the maintenance and repair of electronic components of the SSJ-100 aircraft on the territory of the Russian Federation, previously such types of work were performed exclusively at foreign enterprises. To replace foreign bench equipment, Irkut Corporation develops and manufactures domestic analogues. In particular, the laboratory is equipped with a ground-based automated monitoring and diagnostics station NASKD-200 of domestic production, which allows diagnostics of failed blocks with a search depth up to a replaceable assembly unit.
The commissioning of the laboratory will significantly expand the competence for servicing Russian SSJ-100 aircraft, as well as the promising MS-21 and SSJ-NEW. Irkut specialists will perform maintenance and repair of flight navigation, radio communication, lighting, and household equipment, as well as autopilot, crew and flight attendants consoles, flight information display and registration systems and other electronic components of the aircraft.
To reduce the maintenance time, the laboratory has its own warehouse, and the production site is divided into zones by type of work and type of components, starting from the maintenance area of the crew cabin consoles and ending with the area of buffet and kitchen equipment.
