A significant event took place in Vnukovo-3 both for the aviation company and for the entire domestic aviation industry - the meeting of the Russian medium-haul airliner of the new generation MC-21. This is reported by AVIA.RU .

The aircraft was developed by Irkut Corporation, Yakovlev Design Bureau. The cooperation under the MC-21 program also includes leading manufacturers of aviation systems.

"Advanced aerodynamics, engines and systems of the latest generation ensure high flight performance and low operating costs. In the design of the aircraft, a record in its class share of promising composite materials created exclusively at Russian enterprises was used – more than 30%," the air harbor said in a statement.
