Aeroflot handed over the planned SSJ 100 to Rossiya Airlines

Rossiya Airlines received from Aeroflot all SSJ 100 aircraft previously scheduled for transfer. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of "Russia".

"Rossiya Airlines has replenished the SSJ 100 fleet. The arrival of an aircraft with the tail number RA-89042 in the carrier's fleet completed the agreement on the intra-group transfer of aircraft of this type from Aeroflot to Rossiya Airlines. On April 27, the Superjet 100 will be transferred to the carrier's branded livery for painting. The work will be carried out by Spektr-Avia in Ulyanovsk. It is planned to start commercial operation in the second half of May," the official representative of the carrier said.

Thus, the airline's SSJ fleet reached 78 aircraft (in total, Aeroflot transferred 42 aircraft to its subsidiary carrier). In addition to SSJ, the company also operates Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 aircraft.

SSJ 100 is the first civilian aircraft developed in the Russian Federation. It belongs to the family of regional courts. The flight range of the basic version is 4.4 thousand km, the capacity is 98 passengers. Its use began in 2011. The idea to transfer part of the SSJ 100 aircraft from the Aeroflot fleet to Russia has been discussed since 2015. The process of transferring these aircraft from Aeroflot to Russia began in 2021.
