Khabarovsk Territory plans to produce 20 Superjet New aircraft annually

Irkut Corporation will produce 20 Superjet New aircraft annually in the Khabarovsk Territory, the head of the region Mikhail Degtyarev said on Thursday during a report to deputies of the Legislative Duma of the region. This is reported by TASS.

"Irkut Corporation is working hard in Komsomolsk-on-Amur to produce a new Superjet New aircraft with components of domestic production, work is underway to install a Russian PD-8 engine on this aircraft. The first two production cars will be delivered to customers at the end of 2023. In the future, production will amount to 20 aircraft per year," Degtyarev said.

He added that in 2022, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin handed over 20 Su-35 and Su-57 aircraft to the armed forces, the company is preparing for the production of Su-75 Checkmate aircraft.
