Dalaman is a major tourist destination in Southwest Turkey. Popular beach leisure destinations of Fethiye and Marmaris as well as world-known specially protected areas of Dalyan, Ölüdeniz, are within easy reach from Dalaman. The region’s nature combines mountainous landscapes, sea air, pine forests, and eucalyptus groves. This region is famous for comfortable sand beaches, thermal springs, healing muds. Among sights of interest are unique objects of antique architecture: the ruins of ancient Kavn port city and the 4th century B.C. Lycian tombs.
