Russia transferred the second batch of aircraft to fight with terrorists on January 19, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with Mali’s Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop.
"Cooperation in the military and the military-technical sphere received a boost just in the last year and early this year: a large batch of Russian aircraft was sent, owing to which the national army of Mali has managed recently to carry successful operations when combating terrorists, which are still keeping their activity on the territory of Mali," Lavrov said. "The second batch of aircraft for these objectives was supplied just recently - on January 19," the Minister added.
Moscow will also continue to provide support in combating terrorism to other countries of the region, Lavrov noted.
