Several flights bound for St. Petersburg are returning to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, an airport spokesperson told TASS.
"Vnukovo International Airport continues to operate normally. However, several flights that departed for St. Petersburg are returning to the airport. In addition, flights bound for Pulkovo Airport may be rescheduled," the spokesperson said.
TASS reported earlier that the airspace within 200 kilometers of St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport had been closed at all altitudes until 1:20 p.m. Moscow time (10:20 GMT).
Meanwhile, flight restrictions have been lifted, a source close to the airport’s emergency services told TASS.
