181 Russian airplanes excluded from foreign registers

 One hundred and eighty one Russian airplanes were excluded from foreign aircraft registers, head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko said on Tuesday when speaking in the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament.

"One hundred and eighty one airplanes of foreign make were excluded from the aircraft registers of foreign countries, including as a result of the buyout," the official said.

In December 2022, the Federal Air Transport Agency informed that more than 90% of total aircraft earlier standing in foreign registers had undergone inspections and were granted certificates of airworthiness.

The Russian aircraft fleet consists of almost 1,300 airplanes at present, with 1,163 aircraft used to carry passengers.
