Russian state high-tech export company Rostec will demonstrate a domestic-made heavy transport aircraft, the Il-76MD-90A (E), internationally for the first time in nearly 30 years at the Dubai Airshow 2023, the Rostec press service said.
"The Rostec state corporation will exhibit around 200 samples of military, dual-use and civilian sector products at the Dubai Airshow 2023 international exhibition. The Il-76MD-90A (E) heavy transport aircraft will be the showcase exhibit as Russia has not presented this class of aircraft abroad since 1994. Moreover, the upgraded Ka-32A11M firefighting helicopter and the shortened 5.56 mm AK-19 Kalashnikov assault rifle are also expected to make their international debut," the press service said.
The Russian pavilion in Dubai, which is being organized by the Rosoboronexport arms export agency, will encompass products made by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Russian Helicopters, Ruselectronics, Kalashnikov Concern, High Precision Systems, Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies and other holding companies within the Rostec corporate structure.
These Russian manufacturers’ participation in the Dubai Airshow offers a high-value opportunity to directly pursue business ties with potential partners and clients from Middle Eastern countries, the press service emphasized, citing Rostec First Deputy CEO Vladimir Artyakov.
