Aeroflot airline increased domestic passenger traffic within Russia by 7.6% to 16.7 mln, the company said on Thursday.

At the same time, according to the results of the Q4, the carrier transported 3.5 mln passengers, which is comparable to the results of the Q4 of 2021.

"In 2022, Aeroflot airlines boosted passenger transportation via domestic air routes by 7.6% to 16.7 mln people, while passenger turnover on domestic routes climbed by 30.3% to 41.8 bln passenger-kilometers," the company said.

"The airline transported 3.5 mln passengers via domestic routes in the fourth quarter of 2022, which is similar to the Q4 of 2021. At the same time, passenger turnover climbed by 17.4% to 8.5 bln passenger-kilometers, and domestic passenger seat occupancy increased by 5.1 p.p. to 84.4%," the com

At the same time, according to last year's data, Aeroflot airline transported 20.5 mln people, bringing the group's overall transportation volume to 40.7 mln passengers.
