The CEO of the Northern Capital Gateway company, which manages Pulkovo Airport, and two other top managers in key areas of activity were included in the Top 1000 Russian Managers at the end of 2021 in the Transport category.

VVSS General Director Leonid Sergeev ranked eighth in the Transport category of the Top 250 Senior Executives rating. The leader entered the list of the best for the seventh time.

Aviation Commerce Director Asiyat Khalvashi is ranked fourth in the Transportation category among the Top 100 Best Commercial Directors.

Maria Ermak, Head of Strategic Projects of the HR Directorate, ranked fifth in the Transportation category among the Top 100 Best HR Directors.

They became the business leaders of the ranking for the first time.

At the end of 2021, Pulkovo Airport is included in the list of the best airports in Europe in terms of service quality and in the top three among Russian airports in terms of passenger traffic.

Over the past 2 years, the route network of Pulkovo Airport has increased both due to domestic destinations and due to the opening of the market in Asia and the Middle East. The growth of the total passenger traffic in these directions exceeded 19%.

Passenger traffic in 2021 amounted to 18.1 million.

Pulkovo Airport is successfully implementing digital transformation. Innovative solutions made it possible to increase the efficiency of enterprise resource management, optimize costs and reduce the company's costs.

In 2021, the Runway project was launched to employ students in the office and operational services of the airport. Thanks to cooperation with leading universities in St. Petersburg, within the framework of the project, which has already become 800 students, it was possible to successfully pass the peak loads of the high season.

The main principle of forming the Top 1000 rating list is: “The best choose the best”. The list is compiled annually by the Association of Managers with the consulting support of the Kommersant Publishing House and verified by members of the Top 1000 Award Academy.
