Nordwind millionth passenger checked-in at the Sochi International Airport

Nordwind Airlines together with Sochi International Airport congratulated the millionth Nordwind passenger. The milestone passenger is Tamara Filippova who checked in for the flight Sochi-Magnitogorsk. She received as a gift a model of Nordwind aircraft and a gift certificate for the airport's lounge visit, as well as memorable gifts from the AER airport.
— «This is truly unexpected and heart-warming indeed. I am very glad that saying goodbye to my children whom I visit every year ends like this. Thank you for such a surprise!» – Tamara Petrovna shared her impressions. She also admitted that it is her first win.

Since the beginning of 2022, the Nordwind Airlines has operated more than 4,600 flights to the Black Sea coast, increasing its carrying capacity by 25% and increasing the number of passengers carried by 31% compared to the same period last year.

In its summer flights schedule, the Nordwind Airlines successfully implemented the direct flights program from 31 Russian cities to the Sochi resort. Regular flights are operated from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Orenburg, Magnitogorsk, Ulyanovsk, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Chelyabinsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Tomsk, Kurgan, Syktyvkar, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Orsk, Novosibirsk, Nizhnekamsk, Perm, Surgut, Yaroslavl, Kirov and Saransk.

In the winter flights schedule 2022-2023 the Nordwind Airlines plans to add 6 new flight destinations to the route network from Sochi Airport, compared to the same period last year. In winter the Airline plans to transport more than 567,000 passengers using the Sochi routes to 26 regional destinations: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Cheboksary, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Krasnoyarsk, Tyumen, Orenburg, Kurgan, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul, Belgorod, Ulyanovsk, Voronezh, Magnitogorsk, Nizhnekamsk and Saransk.

«Due to the growing demand for the domestic tourism, Nordwind regularly offers even more opportunities for a comfortable relaxation within Russia. We continue to successfully expand the regional program of flights to the resort capital and in 2020 got the position of the Sochi International Airport base carrier. According to the forecast Nordwind plans to transport more than 1,650,000 passengers using Sochi routes by the end of 2022» - commented the Deputy Director General - Commercial Director of the Airlines Mr. Anton Mattis.
