The Northern Capital Gateway Company, which manages Pulkovo Airport, announces that the Director General of the air harbor operator has received an award on behalf of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
On August 18, for merits in the development of civil aviation, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev presented the badge "Excellent Worker of Russian Air Transport" to Leonid Sergeev, General Director of the Northern Capital Gateway Company, which manages Pulkovo Airport.
Leonid Vladimirovich Sergeev has more than 25 years of experience in strategic and operational management in the aviation, banking, oil and gas, metallurgical industries, in air transport - more than 10 years, in the company "Air Gates of the Northern Capital" - since May 2019. Under his leadership, Pulkovo Airport has repeatedly become a leader in the quality of passenger service in Europe, carried out large-scale digitalization, and implemented a number of projects that are significant for the air harbor and the industry.
Airports Council International (ACI) recognized Pulkovo as the best airport in Europe according to the results of passenger service quality assessment in 2019, 2020, 2021.
Pulkovo was the first among Russian airports to receive an international certificate in the field of healthcare during a pandemic from ACI .
Since 2020, Pulkovo has been the first among Russian airports to start operating the “seventh freedom of the air” regime for flights of foreign airlines to St. Petersburg.
An agreement was signed with the Novaport group on the development of routes between Pulkovo and the group's airports (20 cities).
An agreement was signed with Aeroflot Group to increase Pulkovo's presence in the route network.
Pulkovo Airport is creating its own IT ecosystem, within which more than 16 projects have been implemented. It is aimed at ensuring security and fault tolerance, the company's transition to a culture of managerial decision-making based on in-depth data analysis.
In 2021, the airport launched the "Runway" project , which offers students of universities and colleges to gain experience in operational and office services of the airport. More than 795 students of educational institutions of St. Petersburg have become participants. The project allows you to grow and retain future professionals for the aviation industry.
According to the results of 2019, 2020 and 2021, the airport became the winner of the " Air Gates of Russia " award, becoming one of the best airports in the country.
