The Northern Capital Gateway Company, which manages Pulkovo Airport, announces a race for Pulkovo Airport employees along the runway dedicated to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the air harbor.

Today, July 15, Pulkovo airport employees will take part in a runway run. The event is timed to coincide with the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the air gates of St. Petersburg, which is celebrated this year.

About 200 people will take part in the race. Among them are also employees of departments operating on the territory of the airport, and partner companies.

The distance of the race will be 3 km 400 m, equal to the length of the runway.

On the territory of the starting camp for participants, changing cabins, luggage storage and drinking points will be organized. At the finish line, the jury will determine the winners. Runners will receive medals and prizes.

During the event, participants and fans will have access to a photo zone, dance workshops, semi-sports games, and a lottery with gifts.

Note that the race will not affect the operational work of Pulkovo Airport. Takeoff and landing operations will be redirected to the second runway.

Recall that on June 24, 2022, Pulkovo Airport celebrated its 90th anniversary. The air harbor will foresee a series of events dedicated to this event.

In early June, an exhibition of historical photographs opened in the terminal building . It will be available until the end of July on the third floor of the terminal behind the pre-flight screening area for domestic airlines.

In honor of the holiday , a “Time Capsule” was solemnly installed on the forecourt square with wishes for travelers of the future, which is planned to be opened in 10 years. During this time, it will serve as a symbol of successful travels.
