Soyuz rocket carrying Progress MS-20 spacecraft blasts off from Baikonur

A Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Progress MS-20 cargo spacecraft has blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome.

The docking with the module Zvezda of Russia’s segment of the ISS is due at 16:02 Moscow time on June 3.

The second stage of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket is adorned with the inscription Donbass, and the rocket’s nose cone, with the flags of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics.

The spacecraft is to deliver to the ISS a payload of 2,500 kilograms, including 599 kilograms of fuel, 420 liters of water, 40 kilograms of compressed nitrogen, as well as about 1,458 kilograms of various equipment and materials, medical control and sanitation items, clothes, standard food rations and fresh food for the crew members of the 67th main expedition. Also, a 3D printer, a small electric guitar and violin strings will also be delivered to the ISS.
