The annual General Shareholders’ Meeting of Joint Stock Company Sheremetyevo International Airport (JSC SIA) was held on June 27. During the Meeting a new Board of Directors and Audit Commission were elected and the decisions on other issues were made.
In 2021, in the context of a phased resumption of air traffic, Sheremetyevo airport was dynamically increasing its production capacity, providing a high quality service for passengers and partner airlines. At the end of the year, Sheremetyevo strengthened its position as one of the largest airports in Europe and confirmed its leadership among Russian cargo hubs. The passenger traffic of the airport in 2021 increased by 56.4% and amounted to 30.9 million passengers. Sheremetyevo became the second largest airport in terms of traffic in Europe, while maintaining its leading position in the world punctuality ratings, and showed the highest volumes and growth rates of cargo turnover in the Moscow air hub.
Sheremetyevo continued to modernize the terminal and airfield complexes in order to maintain a high quality of service for base carriers, create comfortable conditions for cooperation and operational activities for them, and also to attract new aviation partners. In 2021-2022 11 airlines began operating flights from the airport: Air India, Japan Airlines, Pobeda, Armenia Airlines, Bul Air, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Yamal, Smartavia, Corendon Airlines and Mahan Air.
During the year, Sheremetyevo Airport ensured the inculcation of advanced digital and biometric technologies for the convenience and safety of passengers, acting as a leading innovator among transport companies in this area. In particular, in Sheremetyevo a project of pilot testing of biometric identification of passengers for a "seamless" passage on board an aircraft was implemented with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
In July 2021, the new Skytrax 5-star international Terminal C resumed operation. The modern and high-tech terminal offers a wide range of services, including biometric passport control.
In 2021, Sheremetyevo was again recognized as the best airport in Europe in terms of service quality and entered the prestigious Voice of the Customer list of the Airport Council International, which includes airports around the world that are most active in implementing the ASQ program during the pandemic.
At the General Meeting, JSC SIA shareholders approved the annual accounting (financial) statements for 2021, confirmed by the auditor Ernst & Young LLC.
The following members of the Board of Directors of SIA JSC were elected:

• R.N. Zinoviev - President of Sheremetyevo Holding LLC;
• Yu.A. Levitina - Vice President for Finance, Sheremetyevo Holding LLC;
• A.I. Skorobogatko - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheremetyevo Holding LLC;
• A.S. Smagin - First Vice President - Investment Director of Sheremetyevo Holding LLC;
• I.E. Torosov - First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation;
• I.P. Chalik - Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation;
• V.V. Yakovenko – Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management.
The shareholders elected the Audit Commission of JSC SIA with the following membership:
• V.V. Rybak - Head of the Financial Modeling Department of Sheremetyevo Holding LLC;
• G.V. Utkina - Head of the Directorate of planning and budgeting Sheremetyevo Holding LLC;
• A.N. Oleinikova – chief specialist-expert of the Department of the Federal Property Management Agency.
The Russian organization CATR-audit services LLC was approved as the auditor of JSC SIA for 2022.
