The Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will consider Russia’s inquiry concerning the West’s unilateral illegitimate restrictive measures against Russian civil aircraft on June 22, Russia’s representative to that organization Sergey Gudkov told TASS on Monday.
"The inquiry will be considered on Wednesday," he said.
Gudkov told TASS earlier that Moscow had put "the issue of illegal actions by several Western countries" against Russian civil aviation for the discussion of the ICAO Council.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova slammed the West’s unilateral illegitimate sanctions as a flagrant violation of international law. According to Zakharova, Russia drew ICAO’s attention to the problem of the Western ban on civil aviation flights. She said this issue was put on the agenda of the current ICAO Council session running from May 23 through June 24.
