Venezuela welcomes the opportunity to receive Russian tourists, the country’s vice president, Delcy Rodriguez, told TASS on Friday.
"The Venezuelan people is very happy to receive Russian tourists," she said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. "Every plane with Russian tourists makes Venezuela happy."
Venezuela’s Conviasa airline started operating direct flights to Moscow in mid-2021. Russia’s Agency for Tourism said in March 2022, that two operators were discussing a partnership to launch a charter program on the Latin American country’s Margarita Island.
