Aeroflot has selected a tour operator to conclude an agreement to sell air transport services as part of travel packages. Following the request for quotation procedure, the commercial bid by tour operator Biblio-Globus won.
The partnership agreement will focus on the sale and provision of transportation services on Aeroflot’s regular as well as individual charter flights to a number of popular international and domestic travel destinations, including Male (Maldives), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Antalya (Turkey) as well as 10 domestic routes connecting Sochi with regional centers, Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
Aeroflot CEO Sergey Alexandrovsky said: “We are looking at different approaches to stimulate consumer demand of Russians’ for travel product. It is also extremely important for us to ensure its reliability and quality at the proper level. For its part, Aeroflot is ready to offer passengers a globally recognized high-quality flight service at very affordable prices. At the same time, the participation of tour operator Biblio-Globus will facilitate the logistics and organization at all stages of the trip for travellers, and will allow them to make decisions about a leisure vacation with less doubts."
CEO of Sheremetyevo International Airport JSC Mikhail Vasilenko said: "A partnership with Aeroflot is always guaranteed to be reliable, and, undoubtedly, prestigious for tour operators. We can see that Aeroflot being the key player in the industry strives to offer various solutions to stabilize the market and ensure the availability of air transportation for the population of the country. Biblio-Globus has a successful record of tourist transportation with Rossiya Airlines, part of Aeroflot Group, and is ready to concentrate efforts to promote further development of Russian tourism."
The Head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova said: "Prior to the summer holiday season, it is especially important for us to create maximum opportunities for affordable travel for our citizens to various destinations both domestic and international so that tourists have a wide choice where to go. Such partnerships as the agreement between a major tour operator, Biblio-Globus and the national air carrier Aeroflot are of particular importance during the period of temporarily limited air travel on certain routes. It is important that the transportation within the framework of the agreement covers not only the capital, but also other Russian regions, for example, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Omsk Oblast, Perm Krai, Tyumen Oblast, Sverdlovsk Oblast as well as Bashkiria. It will significantly expand the transport connectivity of the Black Sea resorts for our citizens. For our part, we will continue to work together with the Ministry of Transport and with business companies to have more similar projects launched from different regions of Russia, including as part of our charter program."
