From 19 May, Aeroflot Group opened regular flights to Anadyr, the capital of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Flights under SU code are operated by Rossiya Airlines. Three weekly flights are scheduled on Mondays,  Thursdays, and Sundays.

Moscow – Anadyr flights are operated on comfortable widebody Boeing 777 aircraft configured with a two-class cabin with 18 seats in Business Class and 355 seats in Economy Class. Flight duration is 7 hours 50 minutes. Passengers can enjoy the content of multimedia in-flight entertainment system, newspapers and magazines on board. Prior to air journey, passengers can order special meals developed based on age group, medical conditions, religion.
Anadyr is Russia’s easternmost city situated in the permafrost zone on the right bank of the Gulf of Anadyr on the Bering Sea. This land is known for its severe climate and unique nature. Enhancing air connectivity with the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug promotes inbound leisure travel in the region as well as economic and business development.

“One of the milestones in Aeroflot’s almost one-hundred-year history is associated with Anadyr,” said Sergey Alexandrovsky, CEO of PJSC “Aeroflot”.  “Aeroflot operated first non-stop flight on Moscow-Anadyr route in January 1984 on long-range turbojet Ilyushin Il-62 airliner. Today’s launch of regular flights to Anadyr is a landmark event for Aeroflot Group which is constantly expanding its route network within Russia. Surely, thanks to our flights residents of the region will have more opportunities to travel rapidly, conveniently and at affordable fares. The socially-oriented component of the regular flights programme of Aeroflot Group to Chukotka is one of the key aspects of our presence in the region”.

«Chukotka is glad to greet Russia’s largest carrier on its territory. This is without exaggeration a milestone for our region because aviation concerns each resident of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug,” said Roman Kopin, Governor of Chukotka. “It is important that every long flight will be operated on spacious and comfortable aircraft at affordable fares. This will make non-alternative air services for residents more comfortable, and Chukotka will be easier to reach for visitors from all over the country. Welcome and have happy flights!”
