Rossiya Airlines, a member of Aeroflot Group, launches regular flights to Kazakhstan starting from April 23. Flights will be operated from Moscow using Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, the carrier’s press service reported on Saturday.
"The program will begin on April 23 with flights to Nur-Sultan, Atyrau, and Almaty. In the coming days, the airline will begin operating flights to destinations in the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement said.
"The program of direct flights from Moscow to Kazakhstan will support the development of tourism and business ties between the countries, and will also contribute to the expansion of economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation," the company said.
In early March, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced that Russa had lifted restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 on flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Iran. At the moment, restrictions on flights to Belarus, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, South Korea, and Cuba have also been completely lifted.
