From January 1 to February 28, 2022, Pulkovo Airport served about 2.4 million passengers, which is 37% more than in the same period in 2021 (+4% compared to 2020).
At the same time, 1.9 million passengers were served on domestic flights. The indicator increased by 19% compared to the same period in 2021 (+23% compared to January-February 2020).
The most popular destinations in Russia in the first two months of 2022 were Moscow, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Ufa and Mineralnye Vody.
447 thousand passengers were served on international routes at Pulkovo Airport, traffic growth compared to the same period in 2021 is 3.5 times (-37% compared to January-February 2020).
Under pandemic-related restrictions, Istanbul (Turkey), Dubai (UAE), Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Hurghada (Egypt), Minsk (Belarus), Helsinki (Finland), Urgench have become leaders among destinations since the beginning of the year (Uzbekistan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Yerevan (Armenia), Budapest (Hungary).
The leaders of Pulkovo Airport in terms of traffic for the specified period among Russian airlines were Rossiya, Pobeda, Smartavia, Aeroflot and S7, among foreign ones - Turkish Airlines, Belavia, Emirates, Finnair and Wizz Air.
