Russia has not yet made decisions on the purchase of aircraft from foreign lessors, said the head of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative activities of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Alina Malysheva at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy. "The decision on the purchase (of aircraft - ed.) has not yet been made, respectively," she said.
The meeting considered a draft law on transport support in the face of Western sanctions. "The Government of the Russian Federation is empowered by this bill to establish in 2022 the features that will, among other things, regulate the execution and termination of leasing contracts," Malysheva added.
