The Northern Capital Gateway Company, which manages Pulkovo Airport, reports the twelfth place of the air harbor of St. Petersburg among the busiest airports in Europe.

In the annual report of Airports Council International (ACI) of Europe, Pulkovo ranked twelfth among 255 airports with 18.1 million passengers. This is one line higher than in 2020 with a passenger traffic of 11 million people, and 23 lines higher than in 2019, when Pulkovo Airport served a record 19.6 million passengers.

It is worth noting that, compared to last year, the air harbor moved up one line, despite the restrictions on air traffic and a decrease in passenger traffic during the lockdown.

The first place in the ranking was taken by the new Istanbul Airport. Then settled Sheremetyevo, Charles de Gaulle in Paris, Schiphol in Amsteram, Domodedovo, Istanbul Airport. Sabiha Gokcen, Frankfurt, Madrid, Antalya, Heathrow in London and Barcelona.

In the group of airports with passenger traffic from 10 to 25 million people, Pulkovo Airport is in seventh position.

As a reminder, in the fourth quarter of 2021, Pulkovo Airport once again topped the rating of European airports and was recognized as the best in the ASQ ACI rating among 93 European air harbors in terms of overall passenger satisfaction with the quality of service.
