Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot group) has retained its position as one of the safest airlines in the world according to the Airline Ratings international agency, and has again received the maximum rating: seven stars out of seven.
The rating is based on comprehensive research, which analyzed the activities of more than 400 airlines worldwide. It was based on comprehensive analysis of information, including data from aviation authorities in various countries, and the world’s leading associations and organizations.
Carriers were evaluated using a variety of criteria, including flight safety level, air accidents, incidents and crashes, the aircraft fleet, passenger feedback, and services offered, etc.
As in the previous year, special attention was paid to measures taken to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection. Rossiya also received seven stars out of a possible seven for this indicator. The airline therefore received yet more international confirmation of its compliance with the highest global safety standards, surpassing other Russian and international carriers in certain categories.
In summer 2021, Rossiya Airlines had ranked highest among domestic airlines, entering the top 50 in the rating of the safest airlines in the world, compiled by the German research center Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Center (JACDEC) in 2021.
Rossiya Airlines has been IOSA-certified (IATA Operational Safety Audit) since 2007, and last year, the airline successfully passed the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), thereby confirming its compliance with international standards of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). The international organization auditors checked the airline against over a thousand requirements for operational safety. Features of the audit last year were the epidemiological situation, which entailed relevant restrictions and additional measures, as well as the introduction of Russian-produced Superjet 100 aircraft, which formed a significant change in the airline’s operations.
