A new passenger liner A321neo in the livery of Ural Airlines arrived in Yekaterinburg directly from the plant in Hamburg on Wednesday evening. This is the second NEO aircraft received by the airline this year.
“These are ultra-modern aircraft, 240 seats each. In the fourth quarter of 2022, we will receive two more new Airbus A321neos and return two to lessors. As a result, at the end of 2022 - 54 cars. All aircraft will traditionally be received under operational leasing,” said Sergey Nikolayevich Skuratov, General Director of Ural Airlines.
As a reminder, Ural Airlines was the first in Russia to operate aircraft of the A320neo family with CFM LEAP-1A engines in 2019. The liner with tail number VP-BFM became the eleventh NEO in the airline's fleet. Currently, Ural Airlines operates 54 aircraft: 14 Airbus A321, 24 Airbus A320, 5 Airbus A319, 3 Airbus A320neo, 8 Airbus A321neo.
New NEO aircraft are not only comfort for passengers, increased flight range, lower fuel consumption, but also concern for the environment. Thanks to next-generation engines and Sharklets-type wingtips, the A320neo family can reduce fuel consumption per seat by 20%. In addition, the aircraft is the quietest among the liners of this class. The area of the sound track is 50% smaller than that of the previous generation aircraft.
